Konstella is the only official platform used by the PFA for communications. It is maintained by the PFA and offers information that is PFA focused such as:
-
Parent directory to find contact information for other FMS parents (depending on each parent’s specified account settings)
-
Calendar details showing various holidays, school days off/minimum days, PFA meeting dates/times, Dine & Donate fundraising events, and other important FMS and PFA dates and events.
-
Donation page for the PFA Education Fund where you can also make an online donation directly through the Konstella donation page.
-
Sign-ups for volunteer opportunities such as helping at teacher appreciation events or student social events.
-
Various sales or collections the PFA may be running such as dances, 8th promotion, etc.
ParentSquare: please note that ParentSquare is used for communications by the Teachers/Administration/School District ONLY.
The PFA has no ability to create and send messages through this platform. For this reason, the PFA encourages parents to join Konstella from the beginning of 6th grade (with reminders throughout each year) since this is something parents need to initiate on their own. Emails are not provided from elementary schools, Foothill administration or the district to be automatically fed into Konstella nor do elementary school Konstella accounts automatically roll over into middle school Konstella accounts. Likewise, please note that middle school Konstella accounts DO NOT automatically feed into high school accounts. *8th grade families will need to join Northgate’s Konstella account when transitioning to 9th grade.
Foothill Directory is Online with Konstella
The Foothill PFA uses Konstella as our Parent Directory and primary communication tool. It is via Konstella that you can connect with other parents. YOU choose how much information to make available to other Foothill parents such as your email address, phone number, and/or your home address. You can keep this information private, as well. In addition to the Parent Directory, the PFA uses Konstella to post calendar items, share eNews, and collect Foothill PFA Education Fund Donations.
To Sign Up or add Foothill to your existing Konstella account
If you don’t already have an account or haven’t added your child to Foothill, go to Konstella, click “Find Your School” in the upper right corner of the page. Search for Foothill Middle School, select it and hit Next. Enter your name, email and child’s name, then select your child’s year of (high school) graduation and hit Submit. Admins will verify your information to add you and your child to Foothill.
You may also download the Konstella app for your phone so that you can have directory and other PFA information on the go. Konstella also allows you to sync our calendar with your Google, iPhone, or other online calendars.
Promote your business with an Ad sponsorship on Konstella
Help support Foothill and promote your business with an advertisement in the school directory.
Or, if you know of someone who has a business to promote, this is an excellent way to reach more than 900 families in our community. There are multiple ad sizes available from full page to business card size.

Helpful Konstella Tips
-
ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT – THEN THIS IS A MUST! If you have a Konstella account, please go into your settings and confirm you have your notifications settings turned on to ensure you are getting all alerts/messages in a timely manner. The #1 way to miss important messages or details is to have your notifications turned off.

HAVE KIDS AT TWO DIFFERENT SCHOOLS? If you have kids at two different schools AND have Konstella accounts at both, make sure you can see both schools in your Konstella account. If on a desktop this means you can see both schools on the left side navigation bar. If on the Konstella app, at the top center of your app you should see the name of one school and an arrow that lets you toggle between the two schools. If you don’t see either of these two options, log out of your account and log back in. If you still don’t see either of these, it most likely means you do not have an account set up at the school you aren’t seeing or there is a problem with that account.
